Fundamentals is designed for anyone looking to strengthen their understanding of core fluid power concepts and feel more confident applying them on the job. This course is for anyone who works with hydraulics who would like to understand the basic fundamentals of fluid power and the components used within a hydraulic system. (i.e. Customer service representatives, engineers, maintenance technicians, and interested associates.)

Basic Hydraulic Fundamentals: Pascal’s Law, Laws of Motion, Force/Pressure/Area Relationships, Speed/Flow/Area Relationships, Work & Power, Parallel & Series Circuits
Symbology: Basics, Key Component Identification, Symbology Practice
Hydraulic Components: Pumps, Valves (Pressure, Directional, Flow Control), Screw-in vs. Slip-in Cartridge Types, Actuators (Rotary, Linear), Accumulators
Fluid Conveyance: Connectors & Conductors, Stamped Procedure, Reservoirs
Fluids & Contamination: Fluid Types, Key Terms & Characteristics, Particulate Contamination (ISO 4406), Filtration Location
