Fluid Power Society (VIC)
The Fluid Power Society of Victoria was formed in 1961 and after more than 55 years of continuous service to its members and the industry, it remains as relevant today as it was at the beginning. The FPS provides a platform for its members to network and to promote the industry together with the highly skilled professionals working in it.
- Networking with fellow industry professionals
- Keep informed of industry news via the FPS Newsletter
- Have a voice in the decision making processes that affect your industry
- Training and Continuing Professional Development information and opportunities
In recent years the Society has expanded its platform on a national basis with the establishment of the Australian Fluid Power Society initially via a partnership with the Fluid Power Society of WA but now joined by the re-established Societies of NSW and Qld.
This is now giving us a much more defined profile to get the attention of the policy makers in Government and Education and enable us to have a role in the development of policy and content.
One key aim of the Fluid Power Society is to raise the awareness of the dangers of working on Hydraulic systems to the governing bodies to try to establish a national approach to ensure that any technician working on a hydraulic system is appropriately qualified and trained to undertake the work.
